Third

It's amazing how time flies. I can't believe our tater tot is already 3 months old. We don't have any stats to share this month, as she doesn't go back to the pediatrician until next month. E has brought us so much joy and this month was no different.

Her smiles have continued and she has even given a few giggles, although they aren't a regular occurrence quite yet.

E loves it when you bring her feet to her face.

She babbles more and more and grunts all the time.

This month she met both sets of grandparents and even a few uncles, an aunt and a cousin! They all came to meet her and be here for her blessing.

E loves to play dress up. She pretends to be a minion and even uses diapers to become a knight or astronaut.

E continued her traveling streak and even went international visiting Toronto and NYC.

She has grown out of some of her newborn clothes and grown into some of her 3 month outfits. She has this pair of pajamas that is particularly fancy and I thought a song about them was the only appropriate thing to do to celebrate. It isn't always exactly the same, but some of the lyrics include:

You're my little fancy pants
My cutie fancy pants
My lovely fancy pants

You even have a collar
And pretty bows
With ruffles to your toes
My little fancy pants
My cutie fancy pants
My pretty fancy pants

You bring your toes to nose
Your talent really shows
In your fancy pants
Your little fancy
Your cutie fancy pants
Your stretchy fancy pants

Your mama dearly loves you
And your daddy too
In your fancy pants
Our little fancy pants
Our cutie fancy pants
Our lovely fancy pants

E has also demonstrated increased motor skills. Her head doesn't bobble nearly as much when she is sitting up. She loves to look around, especially towards lights, bright colors and happy faces. She also lifts her head up high when she is doing tummy time and yes, she has rolled from tummy to back several times! Matthew and I have both witnessed it, but the funny thing is that he has only see her roll over her right shoulder and I have only seen her roll over her left shoulder.

I really thought she was going to roll this time
No one said she always enjoyed tummy time!

She is still a cuddle bug. She will fall asleep on my chest or shoulder. She still prefers to be swaddled at night or when she is really tired. Speaking of tired, she has been sleeping through the night. She now typically goes to bed between 8-9pm and doesn't wake until 6-7am! She also has started sucking on her hands more when she is tired. One day I noticed her sucking and I looked over and saw that she doesn't stick her fingers in her mouth, but seems to prefer the palm of her hand. With this increased desire to suck, she has accepted the pacifier a little more. Uncle Gary even brought her a silly pacifier that she enjoys on occasion.

Piggy E
She loves it when we read to her. She is always looking at the book and smiling and even joining in on the story telling. My mom brought me all the Berenstain Bears books that I collected as a kid and it has been fun to read those to her.

E has discovered and seems to love to play with her hair. She does it when she's nursing and sleeping.

E participated in karaoke for the first time when Matthew and some of his classmates all got up and sang.

She is such a great baby. We really couldn't ask for more. We know we are so lucky to have her!

Loves the tutu and warm weather

Her eyes seem bluer and bluer every day

Bad hair days make her sad

Love all the faces she makes!
