Sweet Aromas and Succulent Eats

Tonight we met up with our friends Richard, Brendan, their little man D and Miranda at the Lilac Festival. Matthew goes to school with Richard and Miranda. Richard and Brendan had D just a few weeks after we had E. We have spent some time playing games and enjoying each others company at Richard and Brendan's house in the past, but this was our first adventure with them and the little ones since D was born! It was a little bit cooler than we were anticipating and there weren't many lilacs to be seen, but it was fun nonetheless.

We did find one bush with quite a few lilacs in bloom and got some fun shots there. After enjoying the lilac bush we wandered around the festival looking for some good eats! On our walk we happened upon an all natural juice stand called Red Jacket. They had an amazing strawberry juice as well as grape juice. Matthew and I are definitely going to find their product at our grocery store. Matthew and Richard got excited when they found a crepe stand, but Brendan, Miranda and I were on the search for something Asian. We were headed towards and Indian stand that Brendan saw earlier when I saw a food truck with an amazing display...Sushi!! I hadn't had really good sushi (particularly raw) since getting pregnant and I was excited to dive back in with Stingray SushiFusion. It was not disappointing either; they blend Japanese sushi with great Latin flavors that bring happiness to the mouth! Miranda and I split two rolls and then very quickly went back for seconds! I can't wait for more!

After eating we headed back to Brendan and Richard's home to talk and play games. On the way we stopped to admire some of the other flowers in bloom. All in all we thought it was a fun night!
